There is a change in the plans. I cannot go to Factor E Farm in USA as a Bulgarian. It is too hard and risky to get a VISA in my situation. The only way is to become a German, on which I am working right now, and it will allow me to go to USA only for 3 months.
Nevertheless the goal is clear – support Open Source Ecology as best I can, develop OSE Europe and start the first OSE community in Europe. We want to cover our basic needs of life and help many people more to do the same. Through Open Source, sharing and giving.
This is very important and needed goal! I spoke with people from Africa who need and want to cover their basic needs. People from Spain and France. Insiders from the Greek revolution asked me very directly – “Are the 50 machines ready? We need them!“. They need to build communities! You can imagine the importance of this project.
So here is what I am doing and planning to do this year:
- Helping OSE remotely – managing the Microfunding Proposal, Press communication and others. You can check my OSE Work.
- Developing OSE Europe – create the European foundation and help with the OSE funding and finding collaborators.
- Develop the first local OSE European Local Chapter – who is interested to participate in this endeavor? Where? What do we need?
- Find an internship in Welding and Torching (Schweißen, Metallbearbeitung) – I had 3 short courses on Welding and one in CNC Machining. It was great, but too short. I need practice! I am searching for somebody, company or individuals where I can learn these skills! Preferably in Germany. Best case would be near Darmstadt/Frankfurt. If you have any ideas please contact me.
- Learn about Manufacturing – I am reading this book “Fundamentals of Modern Manufacturing: Materials, Processes, and Systems“. First I will learn about the materials, then how to produce forms from the materials and then shortly about manufacturing processes.
- Develop CAD Skills – I started with SolidWorks, it is easy and fun. There is more to learn!
That’s the current plan for the next few months. There is a lot of work to be done! ;P
